The world system is both simple, and difficult!
The world system is based on the business model for success ~ borrow the money.
The problem is that banks don't want to loan money to churches.
They are in the business of loaning money, but churches typically present these types of problems:
They don't pay their bills, or
They don't pay their bills on time.
They are not professionally run
They do not operate under a budget
One misled minister can close a church in a week.
Foreclosing on a church makes many enemies.
It is very difficult to resell an empty church building.
It is a BIG headache to deal with churches!
In a nutshell, church buildings are risky to banks.
However, banks WILL lend money to a business for a commercial building, when the proposed GAIN is greater than the RISK to them. This is especially true if there is some investment money behind the project! More info here.
